Well, we’ll start with the really good news – Trajectory Zone Beta 2 got released to the beta team. Not bad – the bug list isn’t that bad, and most gameplay suggestions that I like are fairly easy to impelement. I’ll be posting some pics soon – right after I get the Mac build done.
I’m now a full time Indie. Just… I really didn’t plan on it quite this way. I’ve been laid off, but, it’s all good – I got a bit of a bonus going out the door (they awarded me vacation time and paid me for it). plus I’ve got to show up for work in the morning since I’m now contracting to them to do AutoCAD work and adminsitration stuff – at a better pay rate. Hm. Go fig that one.
While the employment situation is strange, I’m in a pretty good mood about it – finally, I’m the master of my own destiny. Which means:
It’s time ta’ do some kick ass game development!

Very nice! I think you got lucky… Run with it! 😉

Mysterious ways n all. Sounds like a good thing. Have fun.

I’ve finally confirmed what I believed before – Indie game developers are all nuts. Only and Indie can say things like “congratulations” to the sentence “I’m now unemployed” 🙂 (And if you don’t believe that happened, I’ll forward you the email 🙂

Yes we are all nuts… surely the mirror can tell you that as much as anything else 🙂
Nicolas Quijano  (Nov 04, 2003 at 12:07)
Hmmmmm, nutcases… 😉
Mike Nelson  (Nov 04, 2003 at 19:03)
Oh yeah! Go man go!
See you at the next IGnC “Indie Game (nutcase) Con” 😉

Davis, congrats on the job situation. Sounds like it couldn,t have truned out better of you’d planned it that way. =)
Good to see a fellow “midwest” dev doing well – looking forward to the new TZ shots.
